The PPAQ is the oldest professional photographic organisation in Queensland with almost 100 years of history.
The PPAQ guarantees the highest standards in professional photography, ensuring exceptional imagery, business probity and client confidence. PPAQ members nurture relationships with fellow professionals, clients and community; actively promote the Association and build membership; and commit to continuous learning and improvement.
The PPAQ provides a platform for the promotion and growth of the Professional Photography industry in Queensland. They aim to assist photographers to have successful photography businesses that offer consistently high quality images to the Queensland consumer.
Despite their exceptional offerings and resources, the PPAQ recognized that their community awareness needs a boost to build a stronger, more vibrant photography community that inspires, educates, and empowers professional photographers.
A Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) is a photographer who has successfully completed the PPAQ rigorous certification process. CPPs are able to demonstrate a broad photographic skill set and are proficient in more than one genre of photography though many choose to specialise in one.
Certification is designed to give the consumer, piece of mind when choosing a photographer. CPPs have a proven track record and comply with all legal and business requirements. They are bound by the PPAQ Codes of Conduct and Practice, and deliver quality services and products.

The videos highlighted the benefits of becoming a PPAQ member as well as a creating public awareness of the importance of hiring a certified professional photographer.
